CITIZENSHIP LANCASTER is a local volunteer organization that teaches free, weekly classes to help residents of Lancaster County prepare for the U.S. citizenship exam and interview process. The class is led by Lancaster residents Jason Stevenson and Michael Milunic.

All permanent residents (ie. green card holders) seeking U.S. citizenship are required to take and pass the exam and interview. To be successful, they must correctly answer several questions about American history and government, and demonstrate their ability to speak, listen, and write in English.

CITIZENSHIP LANCASTER classes take place on Monday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Windolph Room on the second floor of the Lancaster Public Library (125 North Duke Street).

NOTE: New students can start attending classes at any time. You do not need to wait for the beginning of a new session.

The class is open enrollment, and students can start attending at any time, but the class is designed to help students who have been assigned an exam/interview date, have applied for U.S. citizenship, or are qualified to apply for citizenship and are in the process of filling out their N-400 application.

To register for this free class, contact the Lancaster Public Library at (717) 394-2651 ext. 105.
